BUPA Manchester 10K Run
Three members of AVM are hoping to raise £600 for Rainbow House by running the Great Manchester 10K run on 16th May 2010. Rainbow House specialises in providing services for children with neurological problems and conditions such as cerebral palsy, genetic and metabolic conditions, and acquired brain injuries.
This is a personal challenge for us which, requires a tough training programme but we are determined to reach our goal – your support is greatly appreciated!

Snowdonia 2010
On 25th September 2010, Caroline Wells, Chris Athanasiou, Scott Walker, Phil Smith and Mark Nisbet will be climbing the 3560ft mountain of Snowdonia to raise money for Cancer Research. Our goal is raise £1500 for Cancer Research with this and other activities which, will fund around four microarrays (a powerful piece of gene technology that allow scientists to compare how active different genes are in cancer cells and healthy cells) and also to cover a months trial investigating a new way of giving hormone therapy to improve the treatment of prostate cancer.
