Eiki announces new models at ISE 2010

Kiyoharu Kawabata, President and CEO, Eiki Industrial Co. Ltd. of Osaka, Japan today announced that Short Throw and 3D Projectors will be added to the EIKI line early in Q2. Pre-production versions of both models were unveiled today in the EIKI exhibit at IS-E in Amsterdam.
Short Throw Projection has application both with interactive teaching systems and in non-interactive environments." said Kawabata. "The latest optical technology permits the manufacture of relatively low-cost short throw projectors, and these are ideal for classroom use."
The new EIKI EIP-XSP2500 Short Throw Projector features a 0.615:1 Throw:Width ratio lens. This model is built-on a 0.55" 1-chip DLP® XGA resolution imaging engine with a 6-segment BrilliantColor™ color wheel, and delivers 2500 ANSI Lumens brightness, with a 1600:1 contrast ratio, and weighs 3.0 kg (6.6 lb).
"3D Projection promises to bring a new level of realism to all kinds of presentation applications." said Kawabata. "It goes far beyond dramatic effect. 3D can help the audience perceive and comprehend dimension and relative proximity, which is important for science and technology."
The new EIKI EIP-D450 3D Projector incorporates DLP 3D Ready technology for use with 3D LCD shutter glasses utilizing the DLP® Link™ system. This model is built-on a 0.7" 1-chip DLP® XGA resolution imaging engine with a 5-segment BrilliantColor™ color wheel, and delivers 4,500 ANSI Lumens brightness, with a 2500:1 contrast ratio, and weighs only 5.8 kg (12.8 lb).
